Why we started Tumaini 21 years ago, David heeded God’s call to raise a generation for Him. At the time the community lived in rampant poverty. Children were hungry, neglected and a majority of them were not in school. We started making porridge for them from home but as numbers grew, it became important to have a more structured outfit to cater for their needs and ended up with a school. We have since addressed different needs as they come, extending our ministry to children from other communities and meeting various types of poverty. After serving needy children for 21 years now, we feel that this is our purpose on earth.
