THE MASAII

David comes from the Maasai and so for many years it was planted in their hearts to be able to play a part in resolving the historical challenges wrought

by cultural traditions. Which include practices of FGM and often other criminal practices. Currently children living in this remote part of Africa walk up to 2 hours to access a basic primary education with no further hope for change. In 2018 we partnered with doTERRA to raise enough funds to secure the land to build a project where children can come and receive education, food and support.

Traditionally the Maasai live primitively, which we respect but this has limitations on the access future generations have to meeting basic human rights.

When visiting the school Hannah met with the Head Teacher; he showed her the school attendance figures where there was a significant drop in numbers when the girls turned 10-11. The reason for the drop in attendance is this that this, tragically, is the age when the girls become eligible for marriage and in turn, FGM. Our vision is for these children to not be limited in their opportunities for growth.

We are at the very beginning of this project, we have the land but now we need everything else! We are starting from the very beginning, if you would like to support us in this then please visit our sponsor or donate pages.
